Hexclinch Through Stand-offs offer the designer the opportunity of strong through female thread forms in thin sheet metal and alloys whilst also providing a completely flush finish one side of the sheet. This means that components can be mounted easily to the sheet spaced off it at the required distance determined by the stand-off length. The Hexagon head prevents torque out and provides high pull through resistance. It is essential that the stand-off is squeezed into place, time being allowed for material to flow into the coining recess which provides retention in the sheet. The designer must specify the correct body length to ensure that the stand-off creates the correct clearance in the application. These Stand-offs are available in Stainless Steel clear passivated, Code SS or Carbon Steel Heat-treated and plated Zinc and clear passivated Code 60.
