The * in the part no. denotes that these parts are regularly used and therefore could be available from stock or on shorter lead times than parts not marked. SL Spring Latch Clips provide a very convenient way of fastening any detachable service hatch or door into position or even used purely as a door latch in thin sheet metal products. There are various shapes and sizes to offer the designer the choice of pullout loads. These variations also possess individual characteristics that may make any one of them more suitable than the next in a specific application. An example of this is that part nos. 2108 & 2130 are the only ones that clip into the panel without use of any additional fasteners. HSL in line with all other manufacturers of spring steel clips refuses to accept liability for any premature failure of any spring steel part it supplies that has been specified by the customer with an Electro-Plated Finish, due to uncertainty regarding the incidence of, identification of, control of and removal of Hydrogen Embrittlement. Despite accurate processing controls, baking cannot be relied upon to guarantee removal of Hydrogen. We strongly recommend alternative finishes be specified.
